Mr. Taylor, Mr. Bush, and Mr. "Grant", and Mr. Miller are hard to beat. You mentioned "newer" authors. Mr. Bush and Mr. Grant are on this site, and both offer interesting reading.

I would say one of my favorite writers would be Dr. Lawrence John Connor.

Richard Taylor Charles Koover was kind of eccentric and had some great columns in Gleanings, back in the day. |

I guess that I don't have a favorite writer. There is so many good old books from Root, Doolittle, Langstroth, Miller, Latham, etc.
And then we have a wealth of information in modern times from sites like these: http://www.beesource.com/point-of-view/ http://beenatural.wordpress.com/ http://www.bushfarms.com/bees.htm http://www.scientificbeekeeping.com/ http://anarchyapiaries.org/ http://www.biobees.com/ I like a mix of recreational & scientific reading. |

Wow! I'll throw in another Taylor. I guess he has a great following here. I agree also with M. Bush about the older literature. What I find truly fascinating is how much more I get from someone's 50 years of experience from the 19th century (early 20th) versus 10 years in a lab today.

I too am a big Taylor fan! I also like Ross Conrad.

So many good writers out there past and present, I like George Imirie's Pink Pages and I am currently enjoying Michael Bush's website, I like his observations.
